THE SIGNAL BRIEF · Field notes from Tiffiney Jahn
The signal shows up in your people before it shows up in your numbers.
Every week you will receive one pattern I see building inside manufacturing operations: what it looks like on the floor, what it is costing before anyone measures it, and what a leader can do about it early.
This is for plant managers, site directors, and operations leaders.
Issue 001 arrives today. The rest follow in order, one a week. You can unsubscribe anytime.
What you'll start noticing
-
Why the person who stops asking questions in the morning meeting may be your earliest warning.
-
What your sustained pressure is producing in the people watching you carry it.
-
Why a quiet, steady team can be the early warning going silent.
-
What was hiding inside an injury rate that held for nearly a decade, and what changed when a team finally had a way to say it.

She has a ferocious passion for accessing the capacity of the people on the front-line in alignment with enterprise value, as well as, day to day operations. At one site, the pattern she found underneath a long-standing injury record turned out to be self-doubt.
808 days without a recordable injury followed.
The Signal Brief is where she writes down what she sees now.

The Signal Brief is written as a sequence.
Issue 001 sets up what the later issues reveal, so every reader starts at the beginning, whenever they join.
